Scott Stowell is a Member of the Advisory Board of Foremost Pacific Group (“FPG”) where he serves as a key counselor and advisor to the FPG leadership team. With decades of experience in leadership roles with large residential real estate development firms, and as former CEO and Executive Chairman of publicly traded homebuilding companies Standard Pacific Homes and CalAtlantic Group, Scott brings great depth and breadth of housing development experience to FPG where he assists the company on a variety of business matters, including land acquisition, management operations, business platform growth, and project design and implementation. Scott also takes a leading role in FPG’s entry into new geographical markets, especially in the Salt Lake City metro-market where Scott possesses deep roots within the housing and land development sectors.

Stowell is Founder and CEO of Capital Thirteen LLC, an investment company that specializes in advisory, real estate investment, and angel investing. Prior to this, Mr. Stowell served as Chief Executive Officer of Standard Pacific Homes from 2012 to 2015, during which time he oversaw the Ryland Group acquisition and merger resulting in the creation of CalAtlantic Group, Inc., one of the nation’s leading publicly traded homebuilders. Stowell served as Executive Chairman of CalAtlantic Group from 2015 to 2018 and oversaw the merger of CalAtlantic with Lennar Corporation, which made Lennar the largest homebuilder in the United States. Following the merger, Mr. Stowell retired as Executive Chairman of CalAtlantic and served on the Board of Directors of Lennar Corporation.

Having joined Standard Pacific Homes in 1986, Stowell advanced his role at Standard Pacific over the ensuing three decades and made major contributions to establishing StanPac as one of the most successful and admired firms within the US homebuilding industry. Prior to his long tenure at StanPac, Scott worked at The Irvine Company in Product Development and Market Research where he identified product positioning and market conditions for new master planned communities and was responsible for negotiating land sales with outside builders.

In addition to his role at FPG, Scott currently as a member of the Board of Directors of Pacific Life Insurance Company, where he serves on the Compensation and Personnel Committee (chairman) and the Governance and Nominating Committee. He also serves on the executive committee of HomeAid America and is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board at University of California, Irvine’s Merage Business School. He also serves on the Board of Directors of First Point Volleyball Foundation.

Scott earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree at Brigham Young University and his MBA at the University of California, Irvine. Scott and his wife, Adrienne, have three grown children and reside in Irvine, California.

John Ochsner

John Ochsner has over twenty-five years experience in real estate development and production homebuilding.  With a previous background in civil engineering and land planning, in 1992, Ochsner joined Centex Homes, Inc which was one of the largest homebuilders in the US. John began his Centex career in the San Francisco Bay Area as Director of Community Development.  He was promoted to President for the Los Angeles Division in 1999. In 2002, Ochsner moved back to the Bay Area to assume the position of Division President for Northern California. In 2006, John was advanced to the position of Executive Vice President for Centex’s Northwest Region, managing over $1 billion in assets across six divisions spanning Central California, Oregon, and Washington.  Concurrent with the Centex/Pulte merger in 2010, Ochsner relocated to Seattle to consolidate and run the merged company’s Pacific Northwest Region.

In addition to his experience in all aspects of homebuilding operations, John has expertise in real estate joint ventures and the development of masterplanned communities.  Notable projects executed under his leadership include the award-winning Rivermark, a Centx/Shea/Lennar venture, which was established to develop a 2000-unit mixed-use planned community in the heart of Silicon Valley.

As an independent consultant and investor, Ochsner now oversees a variety of direct investment development projects located in the US West. In addition to his role as a Member of the WPG Advisory Board, John serves as principal of Terra Pacific Development in Seattle.  Ochsner holds a BA in Economics and is a registered Civil Engineer. He resides with his wife, Karen, in the Seattle.

Mackey “Mac” O’Donnell is a seasoned veteran within the real estate industry possessing over thirty years of experience throughout the private and public sectors.  O’Donnell brings great experience to his role on the WPG Advisory Board. In his Senior Vice President position at the California Division of Land Advisors, Inc., Mac has worked in the Major Projects Group, representing land owners, investors, developers and builders seeking to acquire or sell residential land throughout California.  Known by most in the land development and homebuilding arenas for his role as Co-Founder and President of the industry-leading land brokerage firm, O’Donnell/Atkins, Mac has long and deep experience in finding and exploiting some the most valuable land development opportunities in California.  At the firm’s peak in 2005, O’Donnell/Atkins operated six offices and forty brokers throughout the state while managing $1.6 billion in annual land purchase and sale transactions.

Prior to founding O’Donnell/Atkins, Mac served as Director of Land Development for The Warmington Company where he led the acquisition and build-out of a number of projects, including a 4,000 acre/13,000-unit master planned community involving the installation of over $50 million of backbone infrastructure and land sales of over $100 million to merchant builders.

In addition to his private industry experience, O’Donnell possesses keen insight into the dynamics of public planning agencies and politics.  He served as both a municipal planning director (cities of San Fernando and Banning) and a private planning consultant (Urban Futures). With this background, Mac has broad experience in identifying superior development opportunities and is skilled in the design and entitlement of real estate projects—optimizing land value within a wide range of physical, environmental, political and economic challenges.

An Orange County native, Mac holds a Master of City Planning degree (MCP) from the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor of Arts degree (BA) in Social Ecology from the University of California, Irvine, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa. He has also served as an instructor in the Light Construction and Development Management program at the University of California, Irvine.  Mac is a licensed California Real Estate Broker.

Patrick Sullivan is the Founder and Managing Partner of Woodbourne Capital Partners, a Stamford, CT-based real estate investment and advisory firm.  Mr. Sullivan has 35 years of institutional real estate investment management experience and, through this background, brings great value and financial acumen to his WPG Advisory Board role.  From 2005 to 2007, Mr. Sullivan was a General Partner of Warburg Pincus, Inc. and a Managing Director of Warburg Pincus LLC, a global private equity firm where he was responsible for the firm’s North America real estate practice.  He was a key principal in Warburg Pincus Real Estate Fund I, L.P., a $1.2 billion global real estate private equity fund.  From 2013 to 2017, Pat was a Senior Advisor and Partner of Avant Capital Partners, a mortgage lending business he co-founded.  Avant originated 45 first mortgage loans secured by residential properties, primarily in the New York Metropolitan area. Previously, Sullivan has provided financial advisory services, including executing restructuring and recapitalizations, to private real estate operating companies representing in excess of $10 billion of value.  Mr. Sullivan is also engaged in the acquisition of non-performing loan portfolios and value-added investment properties, including master-planned communities and condominium projects.  

From 1999 to 2005, he was a General Partner of JP Morgan Partners (formerly Chase Capital Partners) where he was responsible for a team that acquired, managed and liquidated a $4 billion real estate investment portfolio.  Prior to JPM, Sullivan was a founding partner of Chatham Capital Partners LLC, a Boston-based real estate investment and advisory firm. From 1991 to 1997, Mr. Sullivan was a Director and Partner of AEW Capital Management, L.P. where he was a senior investment professional for AEW Partners, L.P., and a $900 million real estate private equity fund. Previous to this, Sullivan served as Vice President of General Investment and Development Co. and as an investment officer of John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company.  Pat began his career, in 1983, as a real estate analyst at US Trust Company.  

Mr. Sullivan is a member of the Urban Land Institute, a former member of the Policy Advisory Board at the Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics at the University of California at Berkeley. Pat also serves as a member of the investment committee of the Xaverian Brothers High School Endowment, Westwood MA.  Mr. Sullivan holds an A.B. with honors from Vassar College.  Mr. Sullivan and his wife Shelagh have three children and live in Riverside, CT.
